Heidelberg, Germany, 08 Feb. 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AGC Biologics, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), today announced an expanded partnership to provide more plasmid DNA (pDNA) starting material ) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine at the company’s facilities in Heidelberg.

According to a recent press release from Pfizer and BioNTech, the companies have begun developing an Omicron-based COVID-19 vaccine, with the first batches expected to be ready for delivery by the end of March 2022.
